The aim of the internship is two folded. First, you set up a robust measurement system for measuring electrostatics of powders. Secondly, you investigate the relation between electrostatic behaviour and the powder properties, both physical as chemical. Within our powder processes, electrostatic behaviour of powders can disturb these. Therefore, knowledge on electrostatics should be increased. However, measuring electrostatics can be challenging. So, a good measurement system should be in place.
The internship position is set up to be supervised and mentored by the Evaporation, Drying, Powder Handling, and Energy cluster. Next to your work as an intern, you will participate as a valuable team member within the R&D community. As such, you will also learn from the fellow team members.You will be working on literature study, set up and execute experiments, communicate results back and come up with recommendations for improvements. You will be located in the Innovation Centre on the Wageningen Campus.
To be successful in this position, you are/have:
- At the end of your study for a Master degree, preferably in the area of Food Technology, Biotechnology, Physics, Mechanical engineering or equivalent
- Knowledge and preferably experience with (food) powders.
- Capable of translating theoretical concepts into high quality lab experiments/measurements.
- Familiar with lab work and common analytical techniques/methods
- Result oriented, good communication skills
- Internship compensation of €500 HBO and €600 WO level on fulltime base.
