Plant Veghel is preparing for the future and aiming to continuously improve and change. With the scope of the production process of pharma lactose, we are looking for a driven and proactive Senior Technologist with affinity towards process optimisation in a demanding factory and CAPEX design.

What we ask

• Relevant Master degree, preferably in Chemical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, Data science or similar;
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in the food or pharma industry;
• Able to communicate on different levels and be able to motivate people (stakeholder management skills);
• Able to lead projects and initiatives with multiple disciplines e.g. process optimisation or changes to the recipe;
• Solid communication skills in English. Dutch is considered a nice to have;
• Well-developed planning and organization skills;
• Driven to take proactive ownership by analyzing and offering solutions;
• Certified Six Sigma.

Employment benefits: 

• Salary between €4,550 and €6,000 gross per month (full-time), depending on experience and fit for the role;
• A work week of 32 to 38 hours, a 5% year-end allowance, 10% company bonus, 8% holiday allowance and a pension scheme;

Vacancy Description 

You will be part of a professional team with around 25 technologists. As a senior process Technologist your duties and responsibilities amongst others will be:

• Improving the processes that contribute to safety, quality, yield and/or sustainability improvement or cost decrease;
• Leading the implementation of new processes and investment and introducing new approaches and solutions for existing processes affecting the whole value chain;
• Acquiring and trending profound detailed knowledge and databased insights of product and process;
• Leading complex root cause analysis in case of complaints, quality or process deviations (trouble shooting);
• Steer and advice internal and external stakeholders (customers) when it comes to complex matters related to our processes;
• Coaching colleagues across the technology team;
• Playing an active role in generating input for and implementing the Technology strategy of site Veghel focussed on sustainability, digitization and know how valorisation.
