The Supply Planning Lead serves as the vital link between demand planning, sourcing, manufacturing, and distribution operations. This role is responsible for balancing demand and supply across FrieslandCampina and third-party supply networks, ensuring optimal service, inventory, cost, and profitability outcomes.
As the owner of the S&OP Demand and Supply Balancing process, you will drive operational and tactical planning decisions that support business objectives and deliver sustainable growth.
What You'll Do
Lead Demand & Supply Balancing
- Own and facilitate the S&OP Demand and Supply Balancing process.
- Balance demand and supply while considering volume, revenue, cost, and margin objectives.
- Identify supply risks, constraints, and opportunities, ensuring proactive mitigation plans are in place.
Develop Optimal Supply Plans
- Create and maintain the optimal supply network plan across FrieslandCampina and third-party production facilities.
- Align supply plans with demand forecasts, inventory targets, service level agreements, and business priorities.
- Ensure product availability while maximizing operational efficiency and minimizing costs.
Drive Supply Chain Performance
- Monitor inventory health, supply performance, capacity utilization, and customer service levels.
- Analyze supply chain data and provide actionable insights to improve planning effectiveness.
- Support decision-making through scenario planning and impact analysis.
Collaborate Across Functions
- Partner closely with Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Customer Supply Chain, and Commercial teams.
- Facilitate cross-functional alignment on supply priorities and business objectives.
- Serve as a key stakeholder in strategic planning and operational review discussions.
Champion Continuous Improvement
- Drive process enhancements within S&OP and supply planning.
- Improve planning accuracy, efficiency, and supply chain resilience.
- Lead initiatives focused on automation, digitalization, and planning excellence.
What We Ask
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Planning, Demand Planning, S&OP, or Supply Chain Management
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end supply chain planning processes
- Experience managing demand and supply balancing within complex supply networks
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in ERP and planning systems (SAP APO, IBP, Kinaxis, or similar tools is an advantage)
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to influence decision-making in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Fluent in English
