We are recruiting for a General Accountant – Supply Chain. This role will primarily focus on supporting Supply Chain operations, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and providing backup support for operational tasks within the Supply Chain team. The role will also be responsible for minimizing workflow escalations by ensuring that all tasks are completed within the agreed service timelines.
Job Responsibilities
1. Functional Tasks – Supply Chain Finance
- Run production/process and work order settlement and closing.
- Prepare weekly and monthly Supply Chain Finance reports.
- Execute monthly product costing.
- Prepare D&S accruals.
- Perform monthly FI-CO/PA postings and reconcile FI vs. COPA.
- Investigate and resolve any unassigned amounts in COPA.
- Prepare daily and monthly material loss reports.
- Ensure timely execution of all Runbook-related activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the area of operation.
2. Service Management
- Minimize workflow escalations by ensuring all tasks are completed within agreed service timelines.
- Attend to and resolve OpCo queries and issues in a timely, responsible, and proactive manner.
- Maintain effective communication with relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth service delivery.
3. Overall Responsibilities
- Participate in month-end operational discussions, including pre-close and post-mortem meetings, with FSSC and OpCo.
- Perform Balance Sheet reconciliations and identify, follow up, and define appropriate actions for long-aged items.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of reports for OpCo, local government requirements, and agreed ad hoc reporting.
- Participate in compliance audits and respond to audit queries.
- Provide backup support and perform Supply Chain Finance tasks as required.
- Perform other duties as delegated, including job rotation to other functional teams when required.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the area of operation.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with relevant experience in accounting or finance operations.
- Experience in Supply Chain Finance, management accounting, product costing, or manufacturing finance is an advantage.
- Good understanding of month-end closing, financial reconciliation, accruals, and financial reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems; experience with SAP, FI/CO, and COPA would be an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently and meet agreed deadlines.
