- Completed Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Food Technology
- Experience with quality systems, standards, and quality thinking
- At least 10 years of work experience, preferably in the FMCG business
- Experience in a production environment
- Clear motivation for or affinity with the product/production processes related to cheese
- Customer-oriented, analytical, persuasive, proactive, flexible, stress-resistant, structured, and a good networker
- Result-oriented team player with a high level of commitment
- Communicative skills at all levels (oral and written) in Dutch & English

Employment benefits:
- Salary between €6.575 and €8.923 gross per month (full-time), depending on experience and fit for the role;

Vacancy description
As the QA/QC/HSE Manager you are responsible for ensuring product quality, workplace safety, and environmental sustainability while driving improvements and ensuring regulatory compliance across all areas.
Develop and implement quality management systems and procedures:
- Ensure processes are in place to maintain consistent product quality.
- Oversee quality audits, inspections, and compliance with standards.
- Drive continuous improvement in quality processes.
Quality Control (QC):
- Monitor production and perform inspections and testing.
- Identify and resolve defects or deviations from quality standards.
- Ensure final products meet specifications and customer requirements.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.
Safety, Health, and Environment (HSE):
- Develop and enforce workplace safety and health policies.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Oversee environmental management, ensuring compliance with environmental laws.
- Promote sustainability initiatives and minimize environmental impact.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to industry regulations, certifications (e.g., ISO, OSHA), and legal requirements.
- Prepare reports for audits, inspections, and regulatory bodies.
Team management:
- Leading a team of appr. 19 FTE ( 9 directs, 10 indirects).
- Part of multi-site leadership team Pack for the locations Wolvega and Leerdam where we pack cheese for the retail.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work with different departments (e.g., production, engineering) to align on quality, safety, and environmental goals.
- Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility.
Our sites: Leerdam: Specializes in packing whole cheeses, blocks, and wedges for global export. Wolvega: Focuses on sliced and grated cheese for the European market.
Together, these sites operate 24/5, employ over 650 people, and package more than 165 kton of cheese annually. We serve top retailers like Aldi, Lidl, Rewe, Carrefour, Mercadona, Sainsbury’s, and Costco, as well as our own brands like Frico, Milner, and NoyNoy.
