As a Junior Tax Compliance Manager at Frisian Flag Indonesia, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our organisation adheres to all local tax compliance obligations with accuracy and timeliness. This position focuses on managing indirect tax compliance, primarily Value Added Tax (VAT) and Withholding Tax (WHT), while collaborating closely with our Global Business Digital Services (GBDS) team based in Kuala Lumpur.

Junior Tax Compliance Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the monthly VAT and Withholding Tax compliance processes, including thorough review of tax data, reconciliations, and submission of tax reports in adherence to Indonesian tax laws.
- Collaborate proactively with the GBDS team in Kuala Lumpur to guarantee the accuracy of tax-related data processing and resolve any identified issues swiftly.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal departments including Finance, Sales, Procurement, and Supply Chain, as well as with external partners such as distributors and suppliers, facilitating compliance and addressing tax-related inquiries.
- Support preparation and response activities during tax audits, disputes, or requests from tax authorities by organising data and documentation effectively.
- Oversee expatriate and Worldwide Income (WWI) tax administration duties, such as registration and deregistration of Tax IDs, monitoring compliance timelines, and liaising with external tax advisors.
- Assist Corporate Income Tax (CIT) compliance by preparing and maintaining Promotion & Entertainment Lists and supporting documentation for annual tax filings and audit processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing tax processes, recommend enhancements to internal controls, and contribute to increased operational efficiency in tax compliance.

What we ask:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years’ professional experience in tax compliance and accounting within Indonesia.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Indonesian tax laws, including VAT, Withholding Tax, and Corporate Income Tax regulations.
- Strong accounting acumen with the ability to analyse financial data and perform detailed reconciliations.
- Proven experience working in multinational corporations, demonstrating capacity to navigate complex organisational structures and cross-cultural environments.
- Proficiency in managing relationships and collaborating with shared service centres, especially within regional or global tax functions.
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and high-level communication skills to convey complex tax matters effectively.
- Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills to partner across departments and external entities.
- Fluent written and spoken English is essential for effective collaboration and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with a Big Four accounting or tax consultancy firm such as PwC, EY, Deloitte, or KPMG.
- Hands-on experience supporting tax audits and managing tax authority reviews.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP within a shared service environment, enhancing operational efficiency and data integrity.
- Experience using tax software solutions like CoreTax to streamline compliance activities.
