At Alaska Milk Corporation, we are committed to delivering quality dairy nutrition to Filipino families through a reliable and efficient supply chain. We are looking for an IMPEX Officer who will oversee import and export activities, ensuring shipments are processed efficiently, compliantly, and cost-effectively.

This role is responsible for managing shipment documentation, coordinating customs clearances, monitoring shipment status, and ensuring smooth execution of import and export operations while maintaining compliance with regulatory and company requirements.

What You'll Do

Manage Import & Export Documentation

  • Prepare, review, and process all import and export documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, customs requirements, and internal trade policies.
  • Maintain complete and accurate shipment records to support audit and compliance requirements.

Ensure Regulatory Compliance

  • Monitor adherence to customs regulations and government clearance requirements.
  • Facilitate regulatory approvals related to import and export shipments.
  • Ensure customs guidelines and trade regulations are properly followed for all transactions.

Drive Shipment Execution

  • Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, warehouses, and logistics service providers to ensure smooth shipment processing.
  • Track shipment status and proactively resolve operational issues, delays, and exceptions.
  • Support on-time delivery by ensuring timely completion of required documentation and clearances.

Monitor Performance & Reporting

  • Generate regular reports on shipment status, broker performance, and operational metrics.
  • Conduct reviews of shipment progress and recommend action plans to address gaps or delays.
  • Provide visibility on shipment movements and key logistics performance indicators.

Manage Financial & Billing Activities

  • Validate and monitor shipment-related billings, including broker advances, customs charges, service fees, and incidental expenses.
  • Resolve billing discrepancies and support financial reconciliation activities.
  • Coordinate with Finance on audit requirements and compliance documentation.

Support Continuous Improvement

  • Review transportation and shipment methods to identify opportunities for cost optimization and service improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve operational efficiency and customer service levels.
  • Contribute to projects and initiatives that enhance import and export processes.

What We Ask

  • Bachelor's degree in Customs Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in import/export operations, customs clearance, or logistics coordination
  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations, shipping documentation, and international trade processes
  • Experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, logistics service providers, and government agencies
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to compliance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and logistics or ERP systems
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment
