Dryer Operator
As a Dryer Operator, you’ll help turn liquid dairy streams into high-quality dairy ingredients by safely operating and monitoring our drying equipment.
You’ll keep a close eye on the process, make adjustments when needed, complete quality checks, and clean and sanitize equipment to keep production running safely and efficiently. Most importantly, you’ll help make sure every batch meets our safety, quality, and production standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be hands-on with the drying process, keeping equipment running smoothly and making sure every batch meets our safety, quality, and production standards.
- Operate and monitor drying equipment according to established SOPs.
- Keep an eye on temperature, pressure, dry matter, and other process conditions, making adjustments when needed.
- Complete routine equipment checks and handle basic troubleshooting, partnering with the team when bigger issues come up.
- Complete production records, batch documentation, and quality checks accurately.
- Monitor silo volumes and production flow to help keep the process moving.
- Complete CIP/COP cleaning and sanitation according to established procedures.
- Handle raw materials and finished products following GMP and food-safety requirements.
- Speak up when something doesn’t look right and work with the team to identify and resolve production or processing issues.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
- Previous food, dairy, chemical, or manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Ability to follow SOPs, written instructions, and safety procedures carefully and consistently.
- Familiarity with GMP and food-safety standards is a plus.
- Someone who takes safety, quality, attention to detail, and doing the job right seriously.
How You’ll Work
You’ll be a key part of our Production team, working closely with teammates in Maintenance, Quality, and fellow operators to keep production running safely and smoothly. Communication, teamwork, and a willingness to jump in and solve problems are all a big part of the job.
