Job Description Header: 

The Truck Driver – Whey Pickup & Delivery is responsible for the safe, timely, and compliant transportation of liquid whey and related dairy by-products between customer sites, processing facilities, and delivery locations. This role involves operating specialized tanker equipment, maintaining product quality, and ensuring adherence to all safety, regulatory, and company standards. 

Job Description: 

Position Type: Full-time, Hourly 

Reporting To: Manager of Logistics 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Operate tanker trucks safely to transport liquid whey between farms, plants, and facilities 

  • Ensure on-time pickups and deliveries in line with schedules and customer requirements 

  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment safety and compliance 

  • Load and unload whey using pumps and hoses following sanitation standards 

  • Maintain accurate logs for hours of service (HOS), mileage, and deliveries per DOT regulations 

  • Monitor product quality, including temperature and condition during transport 

  • Follow all safety, environmental, and food quality standards and procedures 

  • Clean and sanitize tanker equipment and maintain hygiene standards 

  • Report incidents, delays, mechanical issues, or quality concerns promptly 

Qualifications & Requirements: 

  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with tanker endorsement 

  • Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience (tanker preferred) 

  • Clean driving record and ability to meet DOT requirements 

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical/vocational training preferred) 

  • Experience in food, dairy, or liquid transport preferred 

  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays 

  • Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and quality standards
