FrieslandCampina Ingredients is seeking an experienced Manager of Maintenance to lead all maintenance operations within our dairy manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient performance of production equipment, utilities, and facility systems while supporting food safety, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader who can develop maintenance strategies, drive equipment reliability, lead a skilled team, and partner closely with Production, Quality, Safety, and Engineering to support plant performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities across the facility.
• Ensure reliable operation of dairy processing equipment, packaging lines, refrigeration systems, utilities, and facility infrastructure.
• Drive compliance with GMP, HACCP, FDA/USDA, OSHA, environmental, and food safety requirements.
• Manage emergency repairs and equipment troubleshooting to minimize production downtime.
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs utilizing a CMMS.
• Analyze maintenance metrics and equipment performance data to improve reliability and reduce failures.
• Lead, coach, and develop maintenance technicians and contractors while fostering a strong safety culture.
• Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and vendor relationships.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis activities, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) improvements.
• Identify, recommend, and support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and facility investments. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of Maintenance Management experience within dairy, food, beverage, or ingredient manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance systems, utilities, and manufacturing equipment.
• Experience managing maintenance programs through a CMMS platform.
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop and motivate teams.
• Knowledge of food manufacturing quality systems and regulatory requirements.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, organizational, and project management skills.
• Experience with refrigeration systems is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment, including occasional off-hours support when needed. 

The Maintenance Manager is a key member of the plant leadership team and leads a team of maintenance technicians and external contractors. This role partners closely with Operations, Quality, Safety, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure equipment reliability, maximize plant performance, and support the production of high-quality dairy ingredients.

Working in a collaborative manufacturing environment, the Maintenance Manager plays a critical role in driving operational excellence, team development, safety performance, and continuous improvement across the site.
