The Intake Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently managing incoming liquid dairy deliveries, including permeate and pro cream, into processing silos. This role ensures proper quality testing, adherence to production schedules, and compliance with food safety, quality, and operational standards.

Reporting To: Manager of Production or Shift Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Operate intake equipment and processes according to SOPs
Load liquid dairy materials into silos while ensuring safety and quality standards
Monitor process parameters and adjust within defined limits
Perform quality testing and interpret results to ensure product standards
Complete production records, batch documentation, and logs accurately
Conduct routine inspections and basic troubleshooting of equipment
Manage silo volumes and support continuous product flow
Perform cleaning and sanitation activities (CIP/COP)
Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, and Production teams
Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives
Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (technical/vocational training preferred)
Experience in food, dairy, or chemical manufacturing preferred
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment
Ability to follow SOPs, safety procedures, and written instructions
Familiarity with GMP and food safety standards is an asset
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Team-oriented with strong communication skills
This role is part of the Production team and works closely with Maintenance, Quality, and operations personnel to ensure efficient intake and processing operations. Success in this role requires strong collaboration, clear communication, and a proactive approach to operational excellence.
