As an Intake Operator, you'll play a critical role in receiving, testing, and managing incoming liquid dairy ingredients that support our production process.

 

This position is ideal for individuals with experience in food, dairy, beverage, chemical, or process manufacturing who enjoy monitoring operations, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring products are handled safely and efficiently from the moment they arrive at our facility.

What You'll Do

As an Intake Operator, you'll safely manage incoming liquid dairy deliveries while ensuring compliance with quality, food safety, and production requirements. You'll play a key role in maintaining the flow of materials throughout the manufacturing process and helping ensure every product meets our high standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate intake equipment and processes according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Receive and transfer liquid dairy materials, including permeate and pro cream, into designated silos
  • Monitor process conditions and make adjustments within established operating parameters
  • Perform quality testing and accurately interpret test results to ensure product specifications are met
  • Complete production records, batch documentation, and operational logs accurately
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections and identify potential issues before they impact production
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and communicate equipment concerns promptly
  • Complete Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) and Clean-out-of-Place (COP) sanitation activities according to established procedures
  • Follow all food safety, quality, environmental, and workplace safety requirements
  • Support production goals while maintaining a strong focus on quality and operational efficiency

 

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and standing for extended periods
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in food, dairy, beverage, chemical, ingredient, or similar manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with GMP, food safety, or quality management systems
  • Experience operating process equipment or handling bulk liquid materials
