The Dryer Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating drying processes that convert liquid dairy streams into high-quality dairy ingredients. This role includes monitoring process parameters, performing quality checks, and executing cleaning activities to ensure consistent production aligned with safety, quality, and operational standards.

Reporting To: Manager of Production or Shift Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Operate drying equipment and processes following SOPs
Monitor process parameters (temperature, pressure, dry matter) and make adjustments as needed
Perform routine inspections and basic troubleshooting of equipment
Complete production records, batch documentation, and quality checks accurately
Oversee dryer operations and resolve processing or production issues with the team
Manage silo volumes and support production flow
Perform cleaning and sanitation activities (CIP/COP) per procedures
Handle raw materials and finished goods in compliance with food safety standards
Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, and Production teams
Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives
Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (technical/vocational training preferred)
Experience in food, dairy, or chemical manufacturing preferred
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment operation
Ability to follow SOPs, safety guidelines, and written instructions
Familiarity with GMP and food safety standards is an asset

This role is part of the Production team and works closely with Maintenance, Quality, and other operations personnel to ensure efficient and consistent production. Success in this role requires strong collaboration, communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
