Keep the Wheels Turning

We're looking for an experienced Dispatcher & Scheduler to support our Darlington and Turtle Lake operations.

Initially, this role will focus heavily on dispatching our truck drivers and coordinating with Logistics. As you learn our operation, the role will grow into both transportation dispatching and production scheduling, working closely with our Production and Intake teams to make sure what's coming into the plant, what's being produced, and what's heading back out all stay aligned.

If you're someone who can think on your feet, communicate with just about anybody, and find Plan B (or C) without getting rattled, you'll probably fit right in.

Job Description:

What You'll Do

  • Dispatch drivers and coordinate daily routes, pickups, and deliveries.

  • Reroute and adjust quickly for road closures, weather, delays, equipment issues, or changing priorities.

  • Coordinate inbound whey/milk transportation and outbound shipments.

  • Partner closely with Intake, Production, and Logistics to align transportation needs with plant schedules and capacity.

  • As the role develops, help build and adjust daily and weekly production schedules based on incoming materials, inventory, production needs, and customer demand.

  • Keep drivers and plant teams updated when schedules or priorities change.

  • Use Excel regularly to organize, track, and communicate information.

  • Spot problems early and find practical solutions to keep product, trucks, and production moving.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of dispatch experience required, ideally within trucking, transportation, logistics, or manufacturing.

  • Strong Excel skills are a MUST.

  • Experience coordinating drivers, routes, loads, pickups, and/or deliveries.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, where you can pivot quickly when Plan A doesn’t go to plan.

  • Organized and able to juggle multiple priorities without losing the details.

  • Comfortable making decisions and working independently.

  • Experience with production scheduling, SAP, ERP, TMS, routing, or planning systems is a plus.

  • Food, dairy, manufacturing, or agriculture experience is helpful, but not required.

You've Got to Be Able to Read the Room

Our drivers can be direct, informal, and occasionally a little rugged in how they communicate. You need to be comfortable in that environment, build relationships, and not get rattled easily.

At the same time, you'll work closely with Intake, Production, Logistics, and leadership. We're looking for someone who can adjust their communication style to the audience where you’re laid-back and straightforward with a driver one minute, coordinating a production change with the plant the next, and polished and prepared for a leadership update after that.

Schedule

Monday–Friday with a 6:00 AM Start

Transportation and production don't always cooperate with business hours. This position requires flexibility for overtime and occasional after-hours availability when something needs attention.
