Project Management Office, Work streams and Sub-work stream, Teams and consultant coordination
Result Area(s):
- Enables all Work streams and Sub-work streams, at the plant level, to work more effectively to collaborate and achieve synergy.
- Coordinates the activities of the Work streams, Sub-work streams and all other running plant projects to ensure uniformity in Implementation.
- Contributes to structures and processes to ensure all work teams function effectively and efficiently.
- Formulation and realization of the objectives from tactical implementation plan regarding effectiveness, efficiency, working circumstances, Safety, Health and hygiene, by means of the identification of sticking points and making proposals for improvement.
- Promote and organise the information exchange between Work streams and Sub-work stream, Minifactory, Areas and Teams.
- Coordinate the planning and implementation of “Our Way of Working” to improve productivity at plant level.
- Support in proffering expert advice to OpCo proactively on “Our Way Of Working (OWOW)”
- Ensures adequate awareness of the continuous improvement issues, aimed at influencing decision-making to minimize the business related risks.
- Ensures effective and efficient execution of the operational Excellence projects.
Continuous Improvement/ Operational Excellence Management
Result Area(s):
- Good Knowledge of Project management and problem solving using DMAIC tool.
- Support, direct and lead teams to translate vision into actionable plan, with the deployment of operational excellence tools.
- Apply analytical skills to make results and gaps visible; communicate this and translate into action and results.
- Coordinate the activities of Projects Implementation Task Force (ITF) at plant level
- Train and coach shop floor team on operational problem solving methodology using 5WHY
- Formulate and determine continuous improvement initiatives for optimization of quality, labour, waste, OEE and maintenance to ensure cost-efficient production of the agreed products.
- Responsible for ongoing improvement knowledge, skills and behavior within the projects and plants, resulting in the desired organizational structure, culture, mindset and behaviour.
- Formulates and implement the OWOW/Continuous Improvement (internal and external) communication and promotion plan, in order to ensure the right culture in the OpCo.
Plant Support and Consultancy
Result Area(s):
- Support the plant in decision-making based on performance analysis and business needs.
- Implement quick-win/solutions to help plant make incremental progress/Improvement.
- Support plant to generate ideas on long-term projects required to meet the business future goals.
- Coordinate meetings, reports and Daily Operations Reviews at the plant level
- Support in strategic planning and idea generation to foster sustainable improvement.
Capability Building and performance management
- Expert in providing training, for:
Continuous Improvement related courses:
- lean methodology introduction and philosophy.
- Relevant Continuous Improvement tools.
- Performance measurement and monitoring through coaching and skill management
- Competencies related to working in teams.
- Coaching of Production Managers, team leaders and Shift Leaders in guiding their teams.
Audit
Result Area(s):
- Coordinates and moderate teams, program and project audits.
- Conduct and supervise Mock/ internal plant audits.
- Lead in Best Practices maturity audits at the plant level.
Central Project Management Office/ General Operations Reporting/Documentation/Filing:
- Prepare and present periodic progress report on Plants’ roadmap, Business KPI and ensure the documentation and filing of Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement activities.
- Prepare and update regularly, operations KPIs identifying gaps and embedding the gaps in the continuous improvement journey to reduce losses and optimize process
