As QC Analyst Microbiology, you will play a critical role in safeguarding product quality and food safety by conducting microbiological testing and analysis across raw materials, production processes, finished products, and manufacturing environments. Through your expertise, you will help ensure that every product consistently meets the highest quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Job Description: 

As QC Analyst Microbiology, you are part of the Quality team and are responsible for conducting microbiological testing and monitoring activities that support food safety, product quality, and manufacturing excellence. In this role, you will perform microbiological analyses on raw materials, semi-finished products, finished products, utilities, and environmental samples to ensure compliance with established specifications and quality requirements.

Working closely with Production, Quality Assurance, and other cross-functional teams, you will provide accurate and timely laboratory results, identify potential risks, support corrective actions, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that protect product integrity and consumer trust.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform microbiological analysis on raw materials, semi-finished products, finished products, water, and environmental monitoring samples in accordance with approved methods and product specifications.
  • Monitor, analyze, and interpret microbiological results to ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards.
  • Prepare and communicate laboratory findings, deviations, and quality risks to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and data entry of all testing activities and laboratory results.
  • Support investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes related to microbiological deviations and non-conformities.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, testing media, and laboratory facilities to ensure operational readiness and compliance.
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of quality and food safety management systems, including GMP, ISO 17025, ISO 9001, and FSSC 22000 requirements.
  • Promote a strong culture of Safety, Health, Environment (SHE), quality, and continuous improvement within laboratory operations.

What we ask

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology, Biology, Food Science, Food Technology, Biotechnology, Agriculture, Laboratory Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a microbiology laboratory, quality control, quality assurance, or related role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of microbiological testing methods, laboratory practices, and food safety principles.
  • Familiarity with GMP, GLP, HACCP, ISO 17025, ISO 9001, and FSSC 22000 is an advantage.
  • Experience operating laboratory equipment and performing microbiological analyses.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork capabilities.
  • Proficient in Bahasa Indonesia and able to communicate in English.
  • Willing to work in shifts when required.
  • Willing to be based in Cikarang Pusat.
