The Data Steward is managing the end-to-end maintenance of high-quality business-relevant master data in the system, in line with agreed KPIs and with excellent customer service. Ensuring the delivery of ongoing data quality maintenance and acting as a bridge between the business and technical teams.
Vacancy description
- Fully understand the data maintenance processes and use this knowledge to manage future system data changes effectively
- Enter, test, and release master data items in SAP or other related systems
- Efficiently monitor tickets, prioritise and deal/dispatch to achieve fulfilment of KPIs (within data quality standards)
- Keep regular communication with all interested parties, ensuring that they know the status of pending requests and any related issues
- Run reports and queries to highlight data quality issues
- Identify problem data areas, investigate, and change or suggest rectification procedures (such as de-duplication)
- Understand different business areas and related data management needs• Provide business “helpdesk”-type support about master data management and act as first line support (point of information and escalation) for the business
- Build and maintain good relationships with the business (e.g., requestors, local data stewards, etc.)
- Continuously support system and process improvement initiatives.
What we ask:
- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a recognized university is an advantage
- Good communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- 1-2 years of relevant experience; office-based administrative experience with regular contact between various departments
- Experience in master data management is an advantage
- Experience in multi- or cross-functional working teams is an advantage• Shared service experience is an added advantage
- Time management and prioritization skills
- Excel, SAP, and MDG, or any other MDM management tool, knowledge is an advantage
