The Field Sales Manager is responsible to achieve sales target defined by the Commercial Manager. He / She translates on the field sales the national sales and marketing plan, define clear objectives to his team and guarantees the right application and commercial policy for the customers (WS, C&C, operators). He / She works in collaboration with other local teams like Indirect Sales, Marketing, supply chain and Finance.

  • University degree / Business school
  • Experience:
    • 15 years in the commercial sector of food distribution or the agro-alimentary industry
    • 5 years on team management
  • English (mandatory)
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Skilled in Salesforce or similar CRM tools

Vacancy description

The Sales Force Manager will be in charge of the following activities:

  • Define the sales objectives of the sales team:
    • Translate the sales plan of the Sales Unit into concrete sales objectives for the field team.
  • Define action plans:
    • Define for each team member the sales plans per customer and an effective push strategy: Price list:
      • Communication plan, Promotional planning, Trade marketing activity, Launch new products
  • Accompaniment of his teams and customers visits.
  • Field sales team management to achieve the targets:
    • Pushing for excellence
    • Ensure the development of his team's skills
    • Bring his expertise (market knowledge, negotiation ...)
    • Manage conflicts
  • Sales Administration and Procedures:
    • Make sure his team follows the procedures defined by the company
    • Annual contracts (SCAF policy), Rebates and promotions, Customer complaints
    • Forecast
  • Reporting / analysis:
    • Competitive intelligence (price, market trend, new products ...)
    • Follow dashboards and keep them up to date.
    • Lead commercial meetings
    • Monthly reports
  • Team Management:
    • Recruit new people
    • Develop team members
    • Retain the right talent
    • Manage renewal of team
  • Commercial Excellence & Continuous Improvement:
    • Drive continuous improvement, embedding commercial excellence as a core responsibility.
    • Identify and implement opportunities to enhance sales effectiveness and ways of working.
    • Leverage data and insights to optimize execution and ensure best practices.
    • Raise the level of commercial excellence while delivering annual sales objectives.
