This internship focuses on applying Generative AI (Databricks Genie) to make data more accessible. The goal is to develop and test an AI agent that allows users to ask questions in natural language and receive accurate, data-driven insights. By doing so, you will help bridge the gap between complex data models and real-world decision-making.
What we ask
To be successful in this position, you:
- Are enrolled in a relevant WO university Bachelor's or Master's program with a focus on Artificial Intelligence, Data Engineering, Data Science or a related field. Or a background in animal science with affinity for analytics and AI.
- Are comfortable working with Python and SQL.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear summaries.
What you will do
In the offered position, you will be working on
Support with set up and configuration of a GenAI agent (Databricks Genie) on farm sustainability datasets
Design and test user prompts and use cases to evaluate how well stakeholders can retrieve insights using natural language
Validate accuracy and reliability of AI outputs, comparing results with underlying data models
Identify limitations and improvement opportunities in the AI agent (e.g., misunderstood queries, data gaps)
Work with stakeholders to understand their information needs and translate these into AI use cases
Document findings and provide recommendations on how to scale and improve the AI solution

In this position you will be located in between the Corporate Sustainability and Digital Science Sustainability group. You will be working with a multidisciplinary team located in the innovation center in Wageningen and / or Amersfoort offices which works on supporting a variety of FrieslandCampina internal stakeholders with data and analytics (D&A) insights.
- You will earn 1 vacation day per month based on fulltime internship.
- Internship compensation of €500 HBO and €600 WO level on fulltime base.
- Join the Interns community within the company and participate in activities.
